- Day 1railovernight: Douglas (4 nights)
Home station - Douglas
Journey by rail and ferry to Douglas, Isle of Man; check in to the Empress Hotel for four nights. Free time before the first evening meal together.
- Day 2railovernight: Douglas
Isle of Man Railway, Castle Rushen
Steam journey on the Isle of Man Railway to Port Erin, visiting the Railway Museum, then steam train to Castletown for Castle Rushen and the Old House of Keys.
- Day 3railovernight: Douglas
Manx Electric Railway, Laxey, Ramsey
Manx Electric Railway to Laxey for the mines railway and the Great Wheel of Laxey (Lady Isabella), tram to Ramsey for free time, return by electric railway and horse-drawn tram.
- Day 4railovernight: Douglas
Snaefell Mountain Railway, Groudle Glen Railway
Tram to Laxey, then the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the island's highest peak (2,036ft). Return via Laxey and a steam journey on the narrow-gauge Groudle Glen Railway to Sea Lion Rocks, plus optional Manx Museum visit.

Douglas - home station
Ferry from Douglas to Heysham for the homeward journey.
