    The Maharaja's Express & the Taj Mahal

    Board the Maharajas' Express for an early departure from Delhi to Agra, with live instrumental music and brunch onboard. Visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, then return to the train for dinner and overnight in Agra.

  5. Day 5railovernight: Maharajas' Express (Ranthambore)

    Visit the historic Agra Fort before breakfast, then enjoy a relaxed breakfast onboard while travelling to Ranthambore. After lunch onboard, take a game drive in Ranthambore National Park, known for tigers, sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, wild boar, sloth bear, hyena, jackal and leopard (the open-vehicle safari is bumpy and dusty; tigers and leopards can be hard to spot). Return to the train for dinner and overnight.

  6. Day 6railovernight: Maharajas' Express (en route to Delhi)

    After breakfast onboard, tour the pink city with a visit to Amber Fort, a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture built in 1592, including the Chamber of Mirrors and Hall of Victory. After lunch onboard, choose a spa visit, a tour of the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, or private car exploration. Enjoy an exclusive dinner at the Rambagh Palace Hotel (built 1835, former residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur), then return to the train for the journey to Delhi.

  7. Day 7railovernight: Delhi

    Delhi

    A last breakfast onboard as the train arrives into Delhi. Transfer to the hotel for a free day - sample Delhi's cuisine, drink tea and watch the city go by, or shop for souvenirs.

  8. Day 8

    Delhi to the UK

    Transfer from the hotel to Delhi airport for the flight back to London. Optional extensions (Shimla, Goa, Kerala) are available for those not ready to leave.
