Illustration of Tuscany, Florence & Pisa for Solo Travellers by Rail

Leger Holidays operates this eight-day escorted tour designed for solo travellers to Tuscany, departing from London and ending in Florence. The journey begins with Eurostar to Paris and a high-speed train to Turin, followed by a train to Pisa and a coach transfer to Montecatini Terme, an Italian spa town where you stay for five nights. From this central base, guided day trips by train and coach take you to Pisa, where you see the Leaning Tower and cathedral in the Piazza dei Miracoli; to the walled town of Lucca; and to Florence, the capital of Tuscany, where a local guide walks you through the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio. On Day 6, you visit a working farmhouse in Montecarlo di Lucca for wine tasting and an authentic Tuscan lunch. The tour includes all rail travel, seven nights in three-star hotels with breakfast, five evening meals with wine or beer, one farmhouse lunch, guided walking tours, and a Tour Manager throughout. An experienced Tour Manager accompanies the group at all times, managing logistics and guiding visits, making this ideal for solo travellers seeking structured comfort without the need to plan independently.
