Private transfer to your chosen hotel. Explore Edinburgh: the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, the arts scene, local food markets, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament building.
Departure in the early afternoon from Edinburgh, heading west through central Scotland before joining the West Highland Line at Craigendoran, with afternoon tea and views of Loch Lomond. The train climbs through Glen Falloch to Spean Bridge for the night, with dining and entertainment in the Observation Car.
Journey continues through Fort William with views of Ben Nevis, crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Disembark at Glenfinnan for a local guide's tales at The Old Station Restaurant, or opt for a guided hike through Nevis Gorge to Steall Waterfall. The train loops back to Fort William, then on to Bridge of Orchy for the night with an informal dinner.
