A 6-night, 7-day round trip from Delhi aboard Maharajas' Express through Jaipur, Ranthambore, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, Orchha, Khajuraho and Varanasi.

Day by day

  1. Day 1railovernight: Onboard, en route to Jaipur

    Delhi (Sunday)

    Welcome and check-in at Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi with a traditional welcome by the Maharajas' Express crew; on-board dinner in the Mayur Mahal / Rang Mahal dining cars; train departs for Jaipur.

  2. Day 2railovernight: Onboard, en route to Ranthambore

    Jaipur (Monday)

    Visit the City Palace Galleries; dinner at Hotel Rambagh Palace; train leaves for Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore) at 23:00.

  3. Day 3railovernight: Agra

    Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri (Tuesday)

    Game Drive at Ranthambore National Park; train proceeds to Fatehpur Sikri to explore the deserted Mughal city; train arrives in Agra for an overnight stay.

  4. Day 4railovernight: Onboard, en route to Orchha

    Agra - Orchha (Wednesday)

    Champagne breakfast at Taj Khema and visit to the Taj Mahal; train departs for Orchha; dinner on board.

  5. Day 5railovernight: Onboard, en route to Varanasi

    Orchha - Khajuraho (Thursday)

    Visit Orchha Fort and a village tour by Tuk-Tuk; train proceeds to Khajuraho to visit the Western Group of Temples; an 'Indian Evening' with dinner on board; train proceeds to Varanasi.

  6. Day 6railovernight: Onboard, en route to Delhi

    Varanasi (Friday)

    Lunch at Hotel Taj Ganges; visit Sarnath ruins and a Silk Weaving Centre; boat ride on the Ganges to witness the evening Aarti; train proceeds to Delhi.

  7. Day 7rail

    Delhi (Saturday)

    Breakfast and lunch on board; disembark at Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi as the journey ends.
