Day by day
- Day 1overnight: The Ghan
Darwin and Katherine
Morning departure from Darwin; settle into your private cabin, mingle with fellow travellers and sample the onboard food, wine and service. Lunch is served before an early afternoon arrival at Katherine, with a relaxing cruise through Nitmiluk Gorge exploring its natural wonders and Indigenous culture. Dinner is served as the sun sets over the outback.
- Day 2overnight: The Ghan
Alice Springs
Wake to a morning view of the Red Centre for a full day of excursions in Alice Springs, with an optional scenic flight upgrade to Uluru, before a barbeque dinner under the stars at the historic Alice Springs Telegraph Station.
- Day 3railovernight: The Ghan
Manguri and Coober Pedy
Morning stop at the outback outpost of Manguri before venturing into the opal mining township of Coober Pedy, where more than half the residents live underground, including a gourmet lunch served underground. Dinner is served back on the train.
- Day 4
Adelaide
Leisurely brunch on board ahead of a mid-morning arrival into Adelaide.
