    Your Canadian journey begins in the scenic coastal city of Vancouver. After settling in to your hotel, you can get acquainted with the city independently. Visit Gastown, Stanley Park with its colourful totem poles, or the largest Chinatown in Canada. Vancouver has a varied food scene with top-class seafood including salmon, oysters and Dungeness crab.

    Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops

    Board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer in Vancouver and travel through lush green forests and dramatic valleys of British Columbia, enjoying panoramic views from glass-domed cars. Relax in your spacious seat and enjoy award-winning service. Look out for Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes along the Thompson River. Arrive in Kamloops in the evening.

    Rocky Mountaineer to Jasper

    Board Rocky Mountaineer early for your second scenic daylight journey, heading north and east to the Canadian Rockies and Alberta.     Depart Jasper by coach along the famous Icefields Parkway (144 miles). Make a brief stop at Bow Lake before arriving in Lake Louise.

    Exploring Lake Louise and Banff

    Free morning in Lake Louise to relax or book activities – paddle in an iconic red canoe, learn about local wildlife or soak up views of the turquoise glacial waters. In the afternoon, coach to the mountain resort town of Banff for the rest of the day to explore independently. Visit Main Street's half-timbered shops, restaurants, and optionally Banff's hot springs in the evening.

    The amazing journey to Kamloops

    Depart early from Banff on Rocky Mountaineer heading to Kamloops. Travel through ever-changing scenery over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across ranch lands. Highlights include the Continental Divide, Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie (where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven). Arrive in Kamloops in the evening.

    Continue west towards Vancouver on Rocky Mountaineer.
