Boat to Sogndal (4.5 hours), continuing to Balestrand, a picturesque village on the northern shore of the Sognefjord, Norway's longest and deepest fjord, known for its natural beauty, hiking and historic Swiss-style and dragon-style architecture.
Full day to explore Balestrand's natural surroundings, hike towards Mount Hoven, visit local art galleries inspired by painters Hans Dahl and Nikolai Astrup, or relax along the Miño-style Sognefjord waterfront.
