    Perth to Kalgoorlie

    Departs Perth, climbing through the Avon Valley and into the wheat belt, arriving late evening at the gold rush town of Kalgoorlie before an overnight departure.

  2. Day 2railovernight: Indian Pacific

    Nullarbor Plain

    Sunrise over the mallee scrub and into the Nullarbor Plain, passing the ghost town of Cook, crossing the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Dinner followed by relaxed conversation in the lounge.

  3. Day 3overnight: Indian Pacific

    Adelaide and Broken Hill

    Early morning arrival in Adelaide, with excursion choices including a guided coach tour, Adelaide Oval visit, or Adelaide Central Market tour. In Broken Hill, choices include the Regional Art Gallery of NSW, The Big Picture, or The Palace Hotel.

  4. Day 4rail

    Sydney (or Perth on the return route)

    Wake in the Blue Mountains, seeing the Three Sisters at Echo Point and Jamison Valley views before completing the journey by chartered rail service into Sydney Central Station.
