Board the Indian Pacific in Perth
Welcome gathering to celebrate the start of the transcontinental journey. Relaxed afternoon getting to know fellow travellers, with dinner served on board featuring contemporary Australian cuisine.
- Day 2railovernight: 2 nights Indian Pacific
Indian Pacific, Kalgoorlie and Cook
Sunrise over Kalgoorlie, Australia's largest outback town, with a choice of Off Train Experience including a visit to the Super Pit mine. Reboard for brunch and cross the Nullarbor Plain into South Australia, arriving late evening at the near-ghost town of Cook for a nightcap, bonfire and stargazing.
- Day 3overnight: 2 nights Sequoia Lodge – Mount Lofty
Indian Pacific, Adelaide Hills
Morning travelling through the Flinders Ranges, Spencer Gulf and Adelaide Plains, breakfast and lunch on board. Mid-afternoon transfer to Sequoia Lodge at Mount Lofty in the Adelaide Hills, a private open-plan suite overlooking the Piccadilly Valley. Sunset welcome event with local wine, then a degustation dinner at the 3-chef hat Hardy's Verandah Restaurant.

Adelaide Hills
Curated onsite experiences at Sequoia including dreamtime stories, artisan producer visits, or a guided Mount Lofty Botanic Garden tour. A pre-arrival call from the Sequoia Experience Curation Team helps plan the day. Sequoia Lodge only accommodates guests aged 18 and over.

Farewell
Breakfast, then farewell the luxury retreat.
