    Arrival in Zurich

    Arrival in Zurich. As a lakeside "metropolis of experiences", with a magnificent view of the snow-capped Alps on the horizon, Zurich offers a unique mixture of attractions.

  2. Day 2railovernight: Interlaken

    Train to Interlaken - Jungfraujoch excursion

    Train ride via Lucerne to Interlaken along the shores of crystal-clear lakes, past waterfalls and over the Brunig mountain pass. Excursion to the Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe.

  3. Day 3overnight: Montreux

    GoldenPass Line to Montreux

    Journey continues with the GoldenPass Line through the wild and romantic Pays d'Enhaut through scenic villages along the shore of Lake Geneva.

  4. Day 4railovernight: Zermatt

    Train to Zermatt

    Train transfer from Montreux to Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn. Leisure day; optional excursion to the Gornergrat.

  5. Day 5railovernight: St. Moritz

    Glacier Express to St. Moritz

    Take the world-famous Glacier Express through the deep Rhone valley and a fascinating part of the Alps.

  6. Day 6railovernight: Lugano

    Bernina Express to Lugano

    Board the Bernina Express, travelling over circular viaducts and through winding tunnels to Tirano in Italy. Change to the Bernina Express bus onwards to Ticino.

  7. Day 7railovernight: Lucerne

    Gotthard Panorama Express to Lucerne

    Take the Gotthard Panorama Express, which climbs from 470 to about 1,100 meters and enters the 15-kilometre-long Gotthard tunnel. From Fluelen, a boat ride over Lake Lucerne.

  8. Day 8

    Departure

    Return to Swiss border or individual onward journey. Itinerary bookable in reverse; Open Jaw possible (starting in Lucerne and ending in Zurich or vice versa).
