  1. Day 1railovernight: Llandovery (5 nights)

    Shrewsbury - Llandovery

    Meet at Victoria Quay, Shrewsbury for a boat trip on the Sabrina along the Severn. Afternoon train on the Heart of Wales line to Llandovery, transfer to the Castle Hotel.

  2. Day 2overnight: Llandovery

    Brecon

    Transfer to Brecon; guided tour of Tretower Court and Castle, lunch break in Brecon, afternoon canal boat journey on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.

  3. Day 3railovernight: Llandovery

    Gwili Steam Railway and Aberglasney

    Transfer to the Gwili Steam Railway in Carmarthen for a steam rail experience, Sunday lunch, then visit the gardens at Aberglasney.

  4. Day 4railovernight: Llandovery

    Heart of Wales Line to Llanelli, Mynydd Mawr Railway and National Botanic Garden

    Early train completing the Heart of Wales Line to Llanelli. Visit the Mynydd Mawr heritage railway, then the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

  5. Day 5railovernight: Llandovery

    Brecon Mountain Railway and Swansea

    Visit the Brecon Mountain Railway, then travel through the Brecon Beacons to Swansea to see the former Swansea and Mumbles Railway site, followed by a boat trip on the Copper Jack on the Tawe River.

  6. Day 6railovernight: Aberystwyth (2 nights)

    Llandovery - Aberystwyth via Caws Teifi and Teifi Valley Railway

    Visit the Caws Teifi Cheese factory, lunch in Cenarth, then the Teifi Valley narrow gauge railway at Henllan before transferring to Aberystwyth.

  7. Day 7railovernight: Aberystwyth

    Vale of Rheidol Railway and Aberystwyth Cliff Railway

    Narrow-gauge heritage journey on the Vale of Rheidol Railway to Devil's Bridge, with time to visit the Narrow Gauge Railway museum, followed by the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway funicular.

  8. Day 8rail

    Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury

    Train from Aberystwyth back to Shrewsbury, where the tour started.
