Indian Pacific train from Perth to Adelaide with Barossa Valley wine tour

Journey Beyond Rail's Adelaide Classic City Stay combines two nights aboard the Indian Pacific with three nights exploring South Australia's wine country and capital city. The Indian Pacific departs Perth and carries you across the Nullarbor Plain, one of the world's longest straight railway stretches. En route you stop in Kalgoorlie to learn about the region's mining heritage and visit Cook for a guided stargazing experience under outback skies. All meals and Off Train Experiences are included on the train. Upon arrival in Adelaide, you transfer to The Playford Adelaide - MGallery for a three-night stay. Day 4 features a guided boutique wine tour through Northern Barossa Valley, where you taste wines at three cellar doors including one with Shiraz vines planted in 1843; lunch with wine is included. Day 5 is yours to explore Adelaide at your own pace, or you can opt for a separate McLaren Vale winery experience. This package suits repeat rail travellers and food-and-wine enthusiasts seeking a balance of hosted experiences and independent time in a single location.
Warm welcome and celebratory start crossing the country along the world's longest stretch of straight railway track. First dinner served on board.
Sunrise over the Nullarbor before Kalgoorlie, with a choice of Off Train Experience and morning refreshments. Reboard for brunch, cross into South Australia, arriving late evening at the near-ghost town of Cook for a guided stargazing experience.
Morning travelling through the Flinders Ranges, Spencer Gulf and Adelaide Plains, breakfast and lunch on board. Mid-afternoon arrival in Adelaide, transfer to accommodation for the next three nights.
Boutique wine and food touring to the historic Northern Barossa, including one of the world's oldest vineyards (Shiraz vines planted in 1843). Tastings at three wineries and a lunch with a glass of wine included; small groups of up to 8 people.
