Railbookers runs this 5-day, 4-night self-guided rail trip between Switzerland and Germany, starting in Zurich and ending in Munich. After a first evening exploring Zurich's Old Town, day 2 brings a small-group city tour that combines a guided walking tour, a bus overview of the city's districts, and an audio-guided boat trip on Lake Zurich, with the evening left free. Day 3 is a rail journey to Munich for a two-night stay, with visits to Nymphenburg Palace and the Hofbrauhaus among the Bavarian capital's landmarks. Day 4 is a full day in Munich on a small-group walking tour, taking in Marienplatz, views from the top of the Town Hall, and the legend of the Teufel Stritt, or Devil's Footstep. Following breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Zurich with an expert guide to introduce you to the city and the old town. Explore the city by bus to get an overview of the various districts. Embark on a guided walking tour of the Old Town and discover the city and its beautiful surroundings from the water during an audio-guided boat trip on Lake Zurich. The rest of the evening is yours at leisure.
