Fly or travel to Ljubljana
Flights into Ljubljana from London airports, or overland travel from St Pancras. Also possible to fly from other UK airports to Munich for an onward train to Ljubljana.
- Day 2railovernight: Ljubljana
Special charter train (day 1 of 3)
Travel by special charter train, formed of comfortable carriages hauled by a vintage diesel locomotive (classes 644/664), with two reserved seats per person. Exact routes still being finalised at time of publication, expected to include the steep-gradient line to Koper and freight-only branch lines.
- Day 3railovernight: Ljubljana
Special charter train (day 2 of 3)
Continuing the three-day charter train tour around Slovenia; the middle day's itinerary was still being agreed at time of publication.
- Day 4railovernight: Ljubljana
Special charter train (day 3 of 3)
Final day of the charter train tour, expected to run Ljubljana–Kočevje–Ljubljana or a similar routing to the first day's Ljubljana–Divača–Koper–Sežana–Nova Gorica–Jesenice–Ljubljana loop.
