Illustration of Rockies to the Red Rocks Two-day Rail Classic

Vacations By Rail's Rockies to the Red Rocks Two-day Rail Classic is a four-day independent journey through Utah and Colorado aboard Canyon Spirit, Rocky Mountaineer's U.S. flagship train. The trip begins in Moab with a free day to pursue activities like hiking, mountain biking, or rafting on the Colorado River. On Day 2, you board Canyon Spirit in its domed-glass Signature Class carriage, watching red rock formations and canyon walls roll past as the train carries you into Colorado with dinner served at your seat. Day 3 crosses the Continental Divide toward Denver's historic Union Station, accompanied by a multi-course lunch and onboard narration. The package includes three nights' accommodation, all rail and coach travel, and select meals. This trip suits independent travelers, first-time rail passengers seeking luxury comfort, and photographers drawn to desert and mountain scenery. It is self-guided rather than escorted, so you explore Moab and Denver at your own pace.
