London to Dubrovnik by train and yacht across 15 days

Euroventure's Rail and Sail Croatia is a 15-day journey from London to Dubrovnik that splits into two distinct experiences. Days 1 to 8 are self-guided rail travel, beginning with Eurostar to Paris for classic sightseeing, continuing through Munich's beer halls and Bavarian charm, then an overnight train to Zagreb and a final 6.5-hour rail leg to Split with its Roman ruins and Adriatic waterfront. From Day 9 onward, you board a skippered yacht at Trogir and sail for seven days through Croatian islands, swimming, paddleboarding and snorkelling in hidden bays, with fresh meals cooked onboard and dinners at local Konobas. A professional skipper and Guest Experience Leader run the boat; no sailing experience is necessary. The entire package includes all rail tickets, accommodation in hotels and hostels, yacht berths, most meals during sailing, and a 24-hour emergency helpline.
Start your trip in London with the Eurostar from St Pancras, then a train to Paris (4 hours). Paris is a byword for romance and elegance, from the Eiffel Tower to the Pont Neuf.
See the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, watch a cabaret act at the famous Moulin Rouge, and experience the colourful nightlife of the Marais.
Trains to Munich (6 hours). The Bavarian capital draws you in with its pedestrianised city centre, monuments, museums and art galleries.
Learn about the city at the Stadtmuseum, walk across the sprawling Englischer Garten, and join the Bavarian beer festival of Oktoberfest.
Night train to Zagreb (10 hours), calling first at Croatia's vibrant capital.
Catch a 360-view from the Lotrščak Tower and stroll through the beautiful Mirogoj cemetery in this city of flowers and fountains.
Have a coffee in Kino Europa, Zagreb's oldest cinema, before heading down to the Adriatic coast.
Train to Split (6.5 hours). See the amazing ruin of Diocletian's Palace, admire the city as you approach from the sea, and stroll along the glittering waterfront.
Meet the crew at the marina in Trogir before setting sail for the island of Brač. Spend the afternoon paddleboarding and swimming, then enjoy a Croatian feast at a local Konoba in Bobovišća.
Explore hidden bays on the way to the old fishing town of Vrboska, Hvar, with ancient ruins, medieval churches and Tvrdalj castle, then head to Hvar Town for fortress views and dancing.
Unwind onboard the yacht en route to Lovište on the Peljesac Peninsula, swimming and floating in beautiful bays before a Croatian feast at sunset.
Arrive at the fishing village of Lumbarda, then head to Korčula's Old Town to meander the backstreets where Marco Polo was born, finishing at Massimo's rooftop bar for sunset cocktails.
A lazy snorkel in the Adriatic before reaching Mljet, the most unspoilt of Croatia's islands - explore the National Park by bike and the salt lakes by kayak, home to the Adriatic's only coral reef.
Sail for Šipan, the largest of the Elaphiti islands, with time to explore secluded bays or paddleboard, followed by sunset drinks and a final dinner in a local Konoba.
A last dip in the warm waters before cruising into Dubrovnik. Walk the Ancient City Walls, explore the cobbled streets or have drinks on the waterfront before heading home.
