    Enjoy a morning walking tour of Porto, starting from your hotel. Portugal's second largest city was built overlooking the mouth of the Douro river – an outstanding urban landscape with a UNESCO-listed historical centre. Highlights include the Clérigos Tower, Avenida dos Aliados and the Ribera district on the shoreline.

  3. Day 3overnight: Porto

    Your day is at leisure to further explore Porto. Alternatively, take a cruise in the bucolic Douro valley, famed for its production of wine and port.

  4. Day 4railovernight: Lisbon

    Lisbon

    Your morning is at leisure. In the early afternoon, take the Alfa Pendular high-speed train to Lisbon (a journey of approximately three hours). On arrival, transfer to the Palácio do Governador for a three-night stay.

  5. Day 5overnight: Lisbon

    Take a morning tour of the Portuguese capital with a driver-guide. Enjoy Lisbon's colourful architecture, world-class museums and excellent restaurants. We recommend making time to explore the National Tile Museum, and the Lisbon Aquarium in Parque das Nações.

  6. Day 6overnight: Lisbon

    Your day is at leisure to enjoy Lisbon. Explore the city on foot, or aboard one of the capital's iconic yellow trams. Alternatively, take a day excursion to Sintra Palace and Cascais.

  7. Day 7

    Fly back to the UK.

    Transfer to Lisbon airport and catch your departure flight home.
