  1. Day 1overnight: Lisbon

    Lisbon (3 nights)

    Wander the Alfama district, visit São Jorge Castle and the Jerónimos Monastery, and enjoy the Bairro Alto nightlife.

  2. Day 4railovernight: Faro

    Lisbon to Faro (1 night)

    Train to Faro (about 4 hours). Explore the walled Old Town, the Arco da Vila, and take a boat trip through Ria Formosa Natural Park.

  3. Day 5overnight: Seville

    Faro to Seville (2 nights)

    Bus to Seville (about 4 hours). Visit the Alcázar Palace, Seville Cathedral, and climb the Giralda Tower.

  4. Day 7railovernight: Madrid

    Seville to Madrid (2 nights)

    Train to Madrid (about 3.5 hours). Visit the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, and Plaza Mayor.

  5. Day 9railovernight: Barcelona

    Madrid to Barcelona (3 nights)

    Train to Barcelona (about 3.5 hours). Marvel at the Sagrada Familia, explore the Gothic Quarter, and stroll Las Ramblas.

  6. Day 12railovernight: Paris

    Barcelona to Paris (3 nights)

    Train to Paris. Stroll along the Seine, visit the Louvre, and take in views from Montmartre or the Eiffel Tower.

  7. Day 15overnight: Milan

    Paris to Milan (2 nights)

    Trains to Milan (about 8 hours). Admire the Duomo, Sforza Castle, and da Vinci's Last Supper.

  8. Day 17railovernight: Florence

    Milan to Florence (2 nights)

    Train to Florence. Marvel at the Duomo, visit the Uffizi Gallery, and cross the Ponte Vecchio.

  9. Day 19railovernight: Rome

    Florence to Rome (3 nights)

    Train to Rome (about 1.5 hours). Explore the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, and the Roman Forum.

  10. Day 22

    Depart from Rome

    Trip concludes in Rome. The quickest way to and from the UK is a flight; can be customised into a loop from London.
