    Journey on the unique 'Schwebebahn' suspended monorail, Wuppertal's landmark dating from the early 1900s, floating above the River Wupper across 20 stations. Rejoin the German rail network to Wernigerode, the capital of the Harz region, checking in to the Hotel Weisser Hirsch for five nights.

    Goslar

    Journey by rail to the historic town of Goslar, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site with more than 1,500 well-preserved half-timbered buildings, for a guided walking tour of its 1,000-year history and Old Town, before returning to Wernigerode.

    Quedlinburg and the Selketalbahn

    Farewell to Wernigerode and Germany, returning by rail to Brussels to join the Eurostar service to London St Pancras.
