Panoramic tour
A panoramic coach tour gives the group a good overview of Germany's 2nd largest city: the port, the old warehouses, HafenCity, the Binnenalster and Aussenalster lakes, the Town Hall and the Reeperbahn. Some areas are worth exploring further on a walking tour. A musical in the evening is an option.
- Day 2overnight: Hamburg
Hafencity, port and Reeperbahn
Led by a guide, the group explores the heart of Hamburg on foot around the Town Hall, then the HafenCity district through the old red-brick warehouses to the Elbphilharmonie. Later, admire the port and the cranes by boat, then on to St. Pauli and the Reeperbahn for the evening, beginning with a meal at a typical local restaurant.
- Day 3
Boat tour on the Alster
Discover Hamburg by water on a roughly 2-hour cruise on Lake Alster for a panorama of bell towers, bridges, villas and parks; alternatively or additionally a cycle tour. Free time for individual exploration or shopping (e.g. Mönckebergstrasse). Return in the evening, or overnight in Hamburg and return the next day.
