Illustration of Great West Way by Rail

adeo Travel's Great West Way by Rail is an 8-day self-guided independent journey through England and Wales, starting in Oxford and ending in Cardiff. You travel by First Class train between four heritage cities, spending two nights in each: Oxford, Salisbury, Bath and Cardiff. Each destination includes a scheduled local walking guide, and between them adeo Travel arranges shared small-group day tours of the Cotswolds countryside and South Wales valleys, plus a private chauffeur-guided excursion through Wiltshire to Stonehenge and Avebury. Breakfast is cooked and hot each morning, and admission fees to cathedrals, Roman baths and castles are included. The tour suits first-time rail travellers who prefer guided moments without full group escort, history enthusiasts drawn to medieval towns and prehistoric sites, and couples seeking two-night hotel stays in university and spa towns.
