    Arrive in Boston and transfer independently to the hotel. Meet the Tour Manager and fellow travelers for an introductory meeting; dinner on your own.

  2. Day 2railovernight: Stowe, VT (Burlington, VT, on the 28th September departure)

    Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad

    Motorcoach to Meredith, NH, for a fall foliage train excursion aboard the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, then onward to Stowe, Vermont, for a group dinner.

  3. Day 3overnight: Stowe, VT

    Morse Maple Farm Sugarworks / Stowe Gondola

    Visit the 200-year-old Morse Maple Farm Sugarworks for a maple syrup tasting, then ride the Stowe Gondola SkyRide to the summit of Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak.

  4. Day 4overnight: Montreal, QC

    Montreal Sightseeing

    Cross the border into Quebec and take a guided city tour of Montreal including the Notre Dame Basilica, Mont-Royal, and historic Old Montreal, with the rest of the day free.

  5. Day 5overnight: Montreal, QC

    Montreal at Leisure

    Free day in Montreal, with options including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Biodome, the Montreal Botanical Garden, or Parc La Fontaine.

  6. Day 6railovernight: Quebec City, QC (Hotel Port Royal for the September 26, September 30, and October 8 departures)

    VIA Rail to Quebec City / Quebec City Touring

    Board a VIA Rail train to Quebec City along the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor, then take a narrated city tour covering the Plains of Abraham, Place Royale, and Place d'Armes, with free time after.

  7. Day 7overnight: Quebec City, QC

    Montmorency Falls

    Free morning in Old Quebec City, with an afternoon visit to Montmorency Falls (272 feet, taller than Niagara Falls), followed by a fine dining dinner at Le Moulin de St. Laurent, a historic building dating to 1725-1730.

  8. Day 8overnight: Bretton Woods, NH

    Scenic Drive to Bretton Woods

    Travel back into the United States and New Hampshire's White Mountains on a half-day drive to Bretton Woods, with free time on arrival; the Bretton Woods Skyway Gondola offers views over the changing leaves and the Presidential Range.

  9. Day 9railovernight: Bretton Woods, NH

    Kancamagus Highway / Mount Washington Cog Railway

    Drive the 34-mile Kancamagus Highway through the White Mountain National Forest, then ride the Mount Washington Cog Railway to the 6,288-foot summit of Mt. Washington, North America's steepest train. Final group dinner in the evening.

  10. Day 10

    Tour Conclusion

    Tour concludes after breakfast with a group transfer to Boston South Station or Boston Logan Airport, accommodating trains and flights departing after 1:00 p.m.
