Railbookers runs Cologne and Munich from Zurich, an 8-day, 7-night independent rail vacation that loops from Zurich through Cologne and Munich and back. After a first night in Zurich's old town district of Niederdorf, day 2 is a full-day trip to Jungfraujoch, ascending via luxury coach through the Bernese Oberland and the Eiger Express V-Cableway to the Sphinx Observatory, one of Europe's highest points. A direct high-speed train then carries travelers to Cologne for two nights of Gothic cathedral architecture and cobblestone Old Town streets, before another high-speed train continues to Munich.
