Central Europe Group Tour

15-day backpacker rail loop London to Venice through seven cities

Illustration of Central Europe Group Tour

Euroventure's Central Europe Group Tour is a 15-day rail journey for travellers aged 18 to 30, departing London and ending in Venice. The tour boards the Eurostar at Kings Cross Station and progresses through seven major European cities: Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, and Venice. Most stops last two to three nights, allowing time to explore before moving on by train. On Day 1, you arrive in Amsterdam for a canal cruise and welcome drink; by Day 4, you reach Berlin for a guided walk past the Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Wall; Day 7 brings the Medieval Tavern Show dinner in Prague; Day 9 includes the Szechenyi thermal baths in Budapest; and Day 13 features an overnight train to Venice with a gondola ride on arrival. A tour leader coordinates the entire journey, guiding the group to hostels, activities, and stations. The package suits budget-conscious backpackers and first-time rail travellers who value a structured itinerary and group social experience, with inclusions covering rail passes, accommodation, and signature activities. This is not a luxury trip; it prioritizes value and movement across the continent.

What to know before you look closer

  • The tour moves fast, staying only 1 to 3 nights per city; this pace suits young backpackers but allows limited time in each location
  • Meals and drinks are not included except breakfast in some hostels (depending on availability); you cover all lunches and dinners
  • Local public transport tickets within each city are not included in the from-price
  • Accommodation is in hostels graded top-rated by the operator; if you prefer hotels, this package is not the right fit
