    Budapest/Novi Sad

    7-hour bus to Novi Sad, Serbia. Highlights: Danube beach, Petrovaradin Fortress, cheap local bars.

  3. Day 5overnight: Belgrade (2 nights)

    Novi Sad/Belgrade

    2-hour bus to Belgrade. Highlights: 18th-century Belgrade Fortress, Skadarlija cobbled streets, splavovi party boats.

  4. Day 7overnight: Sarajevo (3 nights)

    Belgrade/Sarajevo

    7.5-hour bus to Sarajevo. Highlights: Ottoman quarter, Turkish Bazaar, local guided history tour.

  5. Day 10overnight: Mostar (1 night)

    Sarajevo/Mostar

    5-hour bus to Mostar. Highlights: the rebuilt Mostar Bridge, the mosque above the Neretva river, the bazaar.

  6. Day 11overnight: Kotor (2 nights)

    Mostar/Kotor

    6-hour bus or private transfer to Kotor, Montenegro. Highlights: boat hire on Kotor Bay, Lovcen National Park, Our Lady of the Rocks near Perast.

  7. Day 13overnight: Dubrovnik (2 nights)

    Kotor/Dubrovnik

    3-hour bus to Dubrovnik. Highlights: Game of Thrones tour, seafood in the old town courtyards, Hard Jazz Cafe.
