Illustration of Arctic Circle by Rail

Regent Holidays operates this seven-day Arctic Circle journey through Swedish Lapland and northern Norway, beginning with a flight to Kiruna and ending with a return flight from Narvik. The trip combines rail travel on the Arctic Circle Railway with stays at three hotels ranging from the award-nominated Camp Ripan spa resort to the four-star Scandic Narvik. Days flow between free time and structured excursions: after leisure days in Kiruna and Abisko National Park to pursue optional snowmobiling or cross-country skiing, Day 3 takes you by train to Abisko, where you ascend by chairlift for a three-course mountain dinner at Aurora Sky Station and a guided northern lights walk. The train journey continues to Narvik with sweeping views of snow-covered fjords and mountains. A husky safari through the Gratangen forest and a traditional Sami northern lights ceremony in a lavvu tent follow. This trip suits couples seeking premium winter experiences, photographers drawn to the Arctic, and travellers who prefer guided comfort with included transfers and scheduled activities.
