Amalfi Coast in First Class

First-class rail journey to the Amalfi Coast via Cannes and Sestri Levante.

Illustration of Amalfi Coast in First Class

Tailor Made Rail's Amalfi Coast in First Class is a 10-day independent rail journey from London to Munich, built around four unhurried days on the Amalfi Coast. The itinerary departs London by Eurostar Plus, connects to the TGV at Paris, and descends to Cannes along the French Riviera. From there, a train heads east along the Ligurian Coast, calling at Sestri Levante before turning south toward Salerno, where a car transfer takes you to your hotel on the Amalfi Coast. With stays of one night each in Cannes, Sestri Levante, Bologna, and Munich, the pace is relaxed outside the main destination. The Amalfi stay spans days 3 through 7, giving you time to explore the coastline by boat or trail, visit the islands of Ischia and Capri, and wander Amalfi's historic centre. The return ascends through Italy and crosses the Brenner Pass into the Austrian and Italian Tyrol before reaching Munich and heading home via Paris. All rail travel is in First Class; breakfast and hotel accommodation are included, as are car transfers to and from the coast.
