Day 2 traces the historic Gotthard route past the church of Wassen; Day 4 crosses the Brusio spiral viaduct at 2,253 metres; Day 5 brings an eight-hour Glacier Express run across the Albula heritage line and the 2,033-metre Oberalp Pass; Day 6 ascends to Gornergrat for views of the Matterhorn and 28 other four-thousand-metre peaks; Day 9 climbs to Jungfraujoch at 3,454 metres overlooking the Aletsch Glacier.   1. Day 1overnight: Luzern

    Luzern

    Anreise nach Luzern, wo Ihre deutschsprachige Reiseleitung Sie herzlich begrüßt. Ein geführter Stadtrundgang zeigt Ihnen u. a. die weltbekannte Kapellbrücke, bevor Sie im Komfort-Hotel Ihr Abendessen einnehmen und übernachten.

    Gotthard Panorama Express

    Ihre Reise beginnt mit einer Schiffsfahrt über den Vierwaldstättersee von Luzern nach Flüelen. Hier wechseln Sie vom Schiff auf die Bahn. Der 1. Klasse-Panoramazug bringt Sie auf der historischen Gotthardstrecke an der Kirche von Wassen vorüber nach Göschenen und über Bellinzona nach Lugano.

  3. Day 3overnight: Lugano

    Locarno und Centovallibahn

    Fahrt mit dem Regionalzug bis Locarno. Ab hier reisen Sie auf der Centovallibahn über Ponte Brolla, Intragna und den Grenzort Camedo bis nach Santa Maria Maggiore, mit 836 m höchster Punkt der Centovallibahn. Zum Abendessen unternehmen Sie eine Bootstour auf dem Luganersee.

    Mit dem Bernina Express nach St. Moritz

    Im Bernina Express Bus fahren Sie von Lugano entlang des Luganersees nach Gandria, weiter am Comersee vorüber und durchs italienische Veltlin nach Tirano. Dann geht es im Bernina Express über den Kreisviadukt von Brusio zu Europas höchstgelegenem Durchgangsbahnhof, Ospizio Bernina, auf 2.253 m Höhe, und weiter nach St. Moritz.

    Panorama-Fahrt im Glacier Express

    Heute unternehmen Sie eine ganztägige Fahrt mit dem Premium Glacier Express von St. Moritz über die Albula-Strecke der Rhätischen Bahn hinunter nach Chur, durch die Ruinaulta zum Klosterdorf Disentis und über den 2.033 m hohen Oberalppass. Durch den Furka-Basistunnel geht es weiter bis Zermatt am Fuße des Matterhorns.

  6. Day 6overnight: Zermatt

    Zermatt und Gornergrat

    Die Gornergratbahn, eine Zahnradbahn seit 1898 in Betrieb, bringt Sie von Zermatt über Riffelalp und Riffelberg zum Bahnhof Gornergrat auf 3.089 m Höhe mit Aussicht auf das Matterhorn und 28 weitere Viertausender.   7. Day 7railovernight: Montreux

    Mont-Blanc Express und Montreux

    Mit der Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn fahren Sie von Zermatt hinunter nach Visp und weiter entlang der Rhône bis Martigny. Im Mont-Blanc Express geht die Fahrt über Finhaut und Le Chatelard nach Frankreich bis Chamonix. Am Nachmittag fahren Sie zurück und weiter bis Montreux am Genfersee.

  8. Day 8railovernight: Interlaken

    Montreux und Genfersee

    Am Morgen erkunden Sie bei einem geführten Stadtrundgang Montreux am Genfersee inkl. Besuch des Schlosses Chillon. Am Nachmittag fahren Sie im modernen Express-Zug über die GoldenPass Line von Montreux über Gstaad nach Interlaken.

    Jungfraujoch und Harder Kulm

    Mit der Berner Oberland Bahn, der Wengernalpbahn und schließlich der Jungfraubahn geht es hinauf zum Jungfraujoch auf 3.454 m Höhe, dem höchstgelegenen Bahnhof Europas, mit Blick auf den Aletsch-Gletscher. Auf dem Hausberg Harder Kulm beschließen Sie Ihre Erlebnisreise bei einem Käse-Fondue.
