Illustration of Al Andalus: Sevilla-Santiago de Compostela

Railtour Suisse operates this 10-day luxury rail journey aboard the Al Ándalus, a Belle Époque-style train traveling from Seville to Santiago de Compostela across 1,250 kilometers of Spain. The route unfolds through four regions: Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha, Castile-León, and Galicia, with stops at six UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The trip balances on-board comfort with guided city exploration. Days one and two in Seville include a visit to a traditional hacienda and olive oil facility; days three through seven are spent largely aboard the train as it rolls northward through Córdoba, Toledo, Ávila, and León, with guided tours of each city and a wine-tasting excursion in the Ribeira Sacra region. Days eight and nine in Santiago de Compostela feature a stay at the historic Hotel Parador and a boat trip to the Cíes Islands on Spain's Atlantic coast. All meals, a multilingual guide, excursions with museum entry, and on-board entertainment are included.
