The service encourages you to stand and stroll between cars, visit the open-air Vista Dome (summer only on most routes), or grab a meal or coffee in the Wilderness Cafe. This fare class suits first-time rail travellers and photographers who want to see Alaska without the expense of premium cabins, as well as independent explorers comfortable booking individual train segments to build their own journey.
