  2. Day 2railovernight: Rudesheim am Rhein

    Rudesheim

    Train from Frankfurt to Rudesheim am Rhein, gateway to the Mittelrheintal (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Includes the Romantic Tour: cable car to the Niederwald Monument ('Germania'), chairlift down to Assmannshausen, and a Rhine River cruise to Rheinstein Castle (admission included).

  3. Day 3overnight: Rudesheim am Rhein

    Rhine River Cruise through the Upper Rhine Valley

    Full-day cruise on a KD ('Weisse Flotte') ship from Rudesheim through the Upper Rhine Valley (UNESCO World Heritage Site) to St. Goar, opposite the Loreley Rock, with stops in Oberwesel, St. Goar and Bacharach (about 2 hours each). Total cruising time about 4.5 hours round trip.

  4. Day 4rail

    Frankfurt International Airport

    Optional hike into the vineyards if time allows; train to Frankfurt International Airport (under an hour), where the tour ends.
